Hi all!
I'm not the most handy person in the world. I don't have very much skill when it comes to electrical devices, handheld saws, or anything of the sort. I also don't have much time on my hands these days.
However, as some of you know, I was having some issues with my EK MultiOption reservoir (cracking) and I have decided to take an alternative route! Because I own a first generation M8, I unfortunately would not be able to add an extended top without having to do some custom work to the top of the case. Therefore, I waited and have purchased a brand spanking new, beautiful Case Labs SMH10!
I will be migrating my M8 build over so theres practically no new hardware upgrades. This means my signature pretty much remains accurate except for anything with a crossthrough. Take a looksie:

In the mean time, I have been prepping some aesthetic parts. Remember how I mentioned I'm not too "handy"? Well, I have had some help!
I decided I would go for a bay reservoir this time and I have heard nothing but fantastic things about the absolutely hideous (okay, we're all entitled to our opinions!) Koolance 402x2 dual-pump reservoir. Because of how bad I thought the faceplate would match with anything made by Case Labs, I decided to make a friend out of it. Fannblade has been incredibly generous enough to make me what appears to be an absolutely fantastic faceplate for my new reservoir. Take a look!

On top of that, Mr. Keating over at Case Labs has agreed to powdercoat this bad boy for me. Talk about generosity and service... I'm proud to say that I am a Case Labs customer. This pretty much guarantees that the faceplate will fit right in with my case!
A huge thanks goes out to both Fann and Jim. Fann did some incredible work and from what I hear, he may be looking to do some more custom work in the near future so keep your eyes peeled!
As for my own work, my GTX 480 and fans came in today. Don't be fooled though - I haven't painted a thing! I learned my lesson painting screws from my last build, so this time I just bought some black ones and some GT3000s (this is how I refer to Gentle Typhoon RPM 3000 fans). Have a looksie!

Tygon Norprene, my new tubing pleasure. I used some of it today to flush the radiator and I must say that it's quite a bit more flexible than my previous Tygon tubing, not to mention that it fits over the barb/fitting much easier.

I took apart my Lamptron FC Touch fan controller (did I say I couldn't do anything?) and drew up a little diagram because I know for a fact that I would have completely forgot what to do when it came time to put it back together. I removed the faceplate from the fan controller and will also be shipping that to Jim for powdercoating. I have a feeling it's going to look fantastic...

Hope you guys enjoy! More to come once I can get my hands on the SMH10!
Updates!
So a few months ago my painted faceplate for the Koolance 402x2 reservoir came back from Case Labs!

He also powdercoated my 180-degree connector but it leaked when attached and I couldn't figure out if it was due to the the powdercoating process (very hot) or if it was defective to begin with.
It could also be the reservoir but I won't find out until I start putting this all together!

This here is the Lamptron FC Touch faceplate painted by Jimbo!

And the moment we've all been waiting for!

Look at that! Sleeved switches! AWESOME! And that screwdriver...yeah...that came with the case. Unreal.

You can see the flash catching the dust filters in the flex-bay.

You can somewhat see the filter borders:

Gotta figure out something to do here with my fans. Either gonna resleeve them or electrical tape that!

Here are some GPU shots:
