Interesting thing about the video: You can see @ 0:23 the Amp rating shoots to 0.12 A for a split second just when it "wiggles". Of course his equipment doesn't seem all that super accurate but it's interesting nonetheless.
Pffft, we really need someone here who knows this stuff biggrin.gif
And OP, no offense, but I don't feel like opening my case, crimping a 3 pin fan header on one of my AP 30's and doing some tests with a multimeter to give you some solid data. Going to put a pizza in the oven, have a smoke and perhaps then I'll feel bored enough to do it wink.gif (BUT I'm not promising anything)
EDIT: not even sure I have my toolbox nearby :O

I'm just glad you humored me. Pizza > crimping any day, hah.

That's really interesting though. Clearly these fans can be started with 150mA. I wonder why they're rated at 970mA...?

If you have the time I would love you. biggrin.gif

Thank you! smile.gif That was courtesy of fannblade for the custom cutting and Case Labs for powdercoating! thumb.gif

Right now I'm stuck trying to determine what to do in the bottom chamber with my fans. I have a separate thread regarding this but comments are welcome. Planned loop is this:

RESERVOIR > 360 RADIATOR > 480 RADIATOR > GPU/CPU (trying to pick which first) > RESERVOIR

So I cant decide if I should do one radiator as intake and one as exhaust, both as intake, or both as exhaust. Also now debating whether or not I should do full push/pull or just one.

Once I can make a decision I'll get moving. Help is welcome! redface.gif

Bottom chamber fans? 480 intake and 360 exhaust, should give you a nice small positive pressure.

Sounds perfect! The hot air coming into the reservoir directly from the CPU and GPU will go into the 360 radiator exhausting hot air out, then enter into the 480 radiator bringing in cool air lowering water temps before it rises into the GPU and CPU again.

Any objections or shall we get this show on the road?!

Semi on hold. This is still very much an active process! I would like to put a parts list together so perhaps I will do that tonight or tomorrow for ya'll.

The primary reason everything has been delayed is because I sent 19 fans back to FrozenCPU so they could even the lengths of the wires and recrimp them for me (I also ordered a crimper to avoid this in the future). I received them back a few days ago. I resleeved them all. This time, I sleeved them from the BASE (where the sticker usually covers) so the entire wire is covered with sleeving. No more black, red, or yellow wires showing. It's gorgeous. Also ordered some new nuts and screws - all black.

Here is what I am currently working on, taking pictures along the way of course:

#1) Waiting for some cover plates from Case Labs. There's a separator piece in the front of the SMH10 that won't fit with the fan-mount in the flex-bay so Case Labs has made me a couple that will fit and they are expected to be delivered on 9/11.
#2) I have ordered a step drill bit and some bulkhead fittings so I can route tubing down through the aluminum, into the radiator, back up through a different piece of aluminum, etc.
#3) I also ordered some black Bitspower o-rings to replace the default green. I'm going all black on this one, clearly!
#4) In addition to the above, I also have changed my motherboard from R3E to R3: Black Edition. Oooh baby! biggrin.gif

I'm taking pictures and have kept most of them on my camera since I haven't found the time to do a little bit of work, take a few pictures, and get back to work. I expect the build should be completed by the end of next weekend and all pictures will be posted at that point on the first page! biggrin.gif

Thanks for subbing everyone, sorry for the delays! redface.gif

Looking forward to it.

I have been eyeing this case or its little bro that is currently a pre-order only, but I am not one to pre-order:rolleyes:

Not sure OP knows, but most of the pics are gone from first page. Sure would like to see the finished product as I am looking at the SMH10 for a build.
