Fatal flaw.. Removed HDD cage, where do I put my HDD's and how?

Currently, my internal HDD's are just laying on the bottom of my case ( which used to be the top )...

I removed my HDD cage in order to be able to mount the Antec Kuhler H20 620 which was beneficial to the cooling of my GTX470.

Now, after neglecting to keep mounting the HDD's in mind, I have no where to put them.

I was thinking of putting them in my 5.25" bays, but between fan controller and DVD burner I can only fit one, and have done so.

I need some help on figuring out how to mount my HDD's... Ideas anybody?

Edit: Forgot to mention, I have 3 HDD's.

How many 5.25" bays do you have spare?
Do you have any room between the 5.25" bays and the side panels?

I have a single spare 5.25" bay, on the sides of them there is a little less than an inch. I only have one drive that would fit there and its the old 250GB single platter drive.

Forgot to mention I have 3 drives.

might be time to go SSD's and use velcro. Not sure where they would go now mate TBH. Post pics when you figure it out. I'm sure you will. thumb.gif

i cant ell what kinda cable management room you have in the back. ssd can easily mount in back, the HDD is a lil harder to conceal.
i'm using 2.5 notebook drives, 7200 and SATA due to i've tossed all the HDD racks and will not mount anything in the ODD racks other
than water cooling or radiators. i've got to a small OS drive and either a network for storage or USB external drive.

This is how I mounted my SSD's back when I had my Antec 300 and I was doing mods. Granted they are 2.5" drives, but if you have a halfway decent case with enough room in the back for cable management, you might be able to squeeze some 3.5" drives there.

How about getting two of these and mounting them on the top/bottom (wherever you have better airflow)? If possible, I'd add some spacers somewhere in there to maximize the airflow under your HDDs (use the standard bottom mounting holes). The added advantage is noise reduction smile.gif

With the one bay available get a 5.25 metal tray adaptor, you can fit 2 hdd and for the other get the same thing and bolt it to the case using some rubber grommets. try to put it somewhere near the airflow. should be no big deal. thumb.gif
