Das Keyboard Dust Cover/Lid?

Thread Starter
Hi guys,
Since I first got introduced to mechanical keyboards over last summer, I've become quite spoiled. I now have a SteelSeries 7G at my parents' house and a Das Model S at my dorm at school. The problem is that the air quality in the dorms is atrocious, and whenever I go home for the weekend I come back with a thick layer of dust all over everything. I have a 30" Samsung 2560x1600 and the Das that I would like to get lids/covers for, and my Google-Fu is severely lacking because I'm not really finding the $10 solution anywhere.

Sure there are $30 lids like this one, even better is this. But I really figured I'd be 5 minutes on Amazon and it'd be shipping to me. What's up with this? Is the idea to just use a garbage bag or something?

What would you guys do in a similar situation, and what on earth do I get for my 30" display? Thanks for the help.

You could probably just drape a sheet over everything. I don't think it's worth it to buy those expensive covers when a cheap sheet could do the same. BONUS: the sheet can keep you warm on cold nights.

I would just buy a microfiber cloth to wipe it clean everyday. If the air quality is not great, you will need to wipe it anyways from dust getting on it while in use. I would got with the microfiber cloth instead of some sort of cover. 3M has some good micro fiber cloths you can get at target sometimes or online.

Those keyboard covers are really good, in fact, I got the one from Elitekeyboards for my Deck with the leather wrist rest. As far as the screen, for my Dell, I use a giant microfiber cloth over it when I got to bed or when not in use.
