[Game|Life] Is this the end of Street Fighter? - Page 3

Sweet! I'm not the only one that really enjoyed Garou: Mark of the Wolves.

On a more related note. I really didn't like the VS. series as much as classic Street Fighter. I really like what they did with SF4 (although Alpha 3 was still my favorite), bringing the more basic and balanced gameplay back (compared to other fighters like MVC2), not to mention the artwork got a nice and much needed revamp. I hope they continue that kind of trend, as opposed the the more frantic 2D fighters, but I'm sure a lot of people here would disagree with me since they prefer the more crazy stuff. The problem with the street fighter series, I feel, is that they really can't change the formula around much without upsetting the hardcore community (Capcom also has a tendency to milk the crap out of their IP, but that's a different story). It's going to be the same game (or very similar) with every release. Capcom should start thinking up some new fighting game series if they want to play around with the formula without upsetting fans. I'm sure a lot of us would like to see some new stuff from them. Maybe even bring back some of the more obscure fighting series like Red Earth or Darkstalkers.

The Zero series was quite good too.

I have to agree...... I fell in love with 3rd Strike in the arcade finding it in the back reaches of the arcade before it was ported to dreamcast in two incarnations.

I so wish i didn't sell off my rare Dreamcast collection with MOW and my fighting sticks frown.giffrown.gif I needed the money then....all mint and pristine

Ya I def loved Sf3 still do play 3rd strike on my dream cast tongue.gif though i use the game pad which works....since that was before you had to buy an arcade stick/mod it to even play. And on the original topic, I dont think this is gonna kill Street Fighter, maybe give em a chance to experiment like the 3d games that came out which I actually liked...back in like 1998 or something.
