@ Jagged_Steel: Im running 8-8-8 at 1333 just fine with vengance ram dude, dominater is supposed to be better quality stuff. And i agree 7-7-7 will be hard to get but its sure as hell not impossible at 1333

As I have said miltiple times: SOMETIMES it is better SOMETIMES it is not, it all depends on the system.
I am trying to provide useful information, I was under the impression that you were trying to do the same but i see you are just here to argue... calm down bro

Thus far i have not been benching and testing it myself, why? Because the internet and my education explains it for me, also my current job requires me to research these things

/end of un wanted/needed argument

OP

Check this out if u want to understand where im coming from with the latency vs speed thing

may help, may not.

How do i go about increasing the mhz without the memory multi?

Do i have to do it via the FSB? then just remove the impact it has on the CPU clock?
why not use the memory multi? if your mobo supports ram speeds higher than 1600 it should give you the option?

otherwise tweaking the fsb would prob do it. which of the two would be more stable?

Well the Multi is easier, but it only allows me the options of notches, meaning, pretty big jumps in frequency, 4 selections, one for 1066, one for 1333, one for 1600, and the next is 1866. 1866 is too high, and would most likely fry the ram.

may help, may not.

You are generalizing.

I am talking about specific examples.

I posted tests showing exactly what I meant.

You have not.

End of story.

Dude you've completely derailed my thread with pointless crap! Nothing of what you posted helps me what so ever!
