To upgrade or not...

Thread Starter
As you can see in my system specs I am currently running 2 560ti's (1gb) and have benq xl2420t monitor. I am thinking about getting a 680 but not sure if it is worth it price to performance increase ratio. I live in Korea so high end products are uber expensive. Let's assume $1 = 1000w. A 680 will cost 700,000w. I can probably sell my 560's together for 300,000 to 350,000 won. So I will be shelling out around $350-400 to upgrade. Is it worth it? Cheers!

VRAM aside, the 680 will have very similar performance to SLI 560ti's. I wouldn't upgrade unless you are really needing the extra VRAM the 680 would provide.

No, I wouldn't. Some people would though.

Hello South Korea smile.gif

i don't think the value for that upgrade (or any upgrade really) is there for you right now. I would just stick with what you have for atleast 6-12 months if you want a cost effective upgrade. If value for money or cost effectiveness isn't a big concern and you need more performance now then the 680 is a fine choice but otherwise I would stick with the SLI 560tis for some time. smile.gif

Find a GTX590 3gb or 6990.

Thanks all. I didn't think it would be a worthy upgrade but wanted some other opinions.

The 590 is possible, I have seen some used for around 500-600,000w (Gigabyte Armor LE D5 3gb). Can't believe those things new go for 1.1-1.2mil won!

Well do what you think is right, it all just depends on how much you enjoy gaming. And if your budget can handle it. Do it. Just remember those 560ti drop in price each day. Plus you have more vram and that helps. sli vram is on the gb of one card.

Hope i helped

let me know what you do!!
