I honestly haven't looked at the 24pin wires closely yet so I'll take your heads up on the double wiring. (hmm more money for a crimper).
Is there a crimper out there that will do the psu molex AND the fan pin molex?
I would rather make custom extensions for the fan wires even though those little pins are a pain (for me, with pliers) to crimp.
Anyway, looking good and I'll keep an eye out on your progress.
The main reason I decided to make my own wires was the frustration of removing wires from the 8pin. Most didn't survive with their pins, so I thought what the hell, and went the custom cables route. I'm very glad I did. It is a breeze making your own cables, with the right tools, and it allows for much more cable management and control.
As far as the crimper, do you mean ATX pins instead of molex? I'm not sleeving any fans, but the MDPC-X crimper is a great tool, and one of the best crimpers out there. It comes with an assortment of pins, fan header pins among them. So, I'm assuming then that the MDPC-X crimper does ATX (the main PSU pins for 24pin, 8pin, 6pins) and the fan pins.
