Never buying an Asus product again. - Page 2

I had my Corshair show up DOA and in 5 days I had a new 1 and they paid the shipping
post #12 of 24
had same issue last week and they shipped my board back and stated we are sorry you must have powered your computer down wrong and it must have overvolted the motherboard. I thought this was part of asus warranty but i guess not, i didn't even overclock, i didn't have time since the board was only a couple months old. my company did 5-6 grand to asus and now others are getting that money.

Well, it's their loss and not yours. Maybe if more people started doing this - and not spewing crap on forums and then mindlessly buying more Asus products - they would change?

I RMA'd directly with Asus thru their ACS program and have had no issues thus far - I did have to fill out a form which authorizes Asus to charge my card IF they dont receive the bad board back within a certain timeframe. I dealt with Brian, who was polite and professional in every way. I'm not implying anything here but, as a rule of thumb, better results are acheived with honey than with vinegar. So I was polite, patient, flexible, and did not badmouth their products to them - actually thanked them for making "better stuff than the other guys make". So far it's worked for me,.....

I never badmouthed them directly, I was also very polite. I needed an advanced RMA. I can't be without my computer for a week. I get all my HW done on here for college. Yes I can probably go to the library but I have to do it in my room by myself, just the way I work.
I was fully willing to pay for a new board and everything until I send this one back and get a refund of what I paid, what I normally with other companies.

No longer recommending them like I had in the past. I'm not saying they make crappy boards at all but there customer service didn't sit well with me.

It's not the point. It was faulty = Asus pays.

in my own country, there is no 30 day return policy, there is no RMA, once you take a product out of the store there is no returning, thats why we test everything in the store first.
we are pretty much spoiled here actually.

I explained I've done this with other companies aka Gigabyte with no problems, and he said were not Gigabyte were another company and if you want the warranty I'd have to go through the whole RMA process which could take 2 weeks to a month.
Enough with the rant, but I must say I'm never buying an Asus product again. Returning my Ultrabook I had just bought and buying a Gigabyte motherboard.
On that note, anyone have a USB3.0 and SATAIII M-ATX motherboard for sale lol?

I never dealed with advanced rma with asus, or any other brand before so i got nothing to comment about that.

however i do have a MSI usb 3.0 and sata 3 matx board for sale... but for intel socket 2011 tongue.gif

Too bad he didn't explain that in the OP. Shipping costs for a working board just to replace the battery would be way more expensive too.

There's a manufacturer's warranty.

Statements like these make me cringe. In one aspect yes we are spoiled.
