Just picked up some beyers!

Specifically the DT770 Pro!

They need an amp but unamped they're very good. Very 'balanced' sounding.

Totally comfortable, fits right over my ear. Well built.

Anyone else have em?

Clearly there is a club of sorts which lists headphones that members own; if you search there, you may indeed find others who have owned such a thing.

Seriously though, those are somewhat common. They're nice but I'd struggle to call them "balanced sounding," at least in terms of the bass vs. midrange vs. treble. They don't particularly need a dedicated amp much more than a lot of other headphones though, but certainly if you currently use a source with a high output impedance (if not then this doesn't apply), this can maybe get rid of some bass boom while retaining the powerful subbass.

By the way, there exists a DT 770 Pro 80 ohms and a DT 770 Pro 250 ohms; the 250 ohms will be a bit quieter at a given volume and may need a dedicated amp even on the basis of needing extra volume. The differences between the two other than the impedance value, seems to be some matter of speculation and debate. There are ideas about that, but I'm not sure if they're definitive and entirely convincing.

I got some DT990 PRO's. Same driver, but open. I love these things; out of every 'phone I've heard, these are definitely the "funnest".
