You need a discrete GPU. I think you need to rethink... wink.gif

1. You need 1080p resolution for office work and gaming. I assure you this. Not knowing if you are working with this rig. smile.gif
2. Why 1? You must open many windows/applications when working. Games are DESIGNED for 1080p, so if you play in lower quality, you are not really playing the game.
3. Based on 1, you need a good GPU and reasonable CPU. AMD 6850 or even 6870 is 160$ or less. It is good enough to play any game now in high/ultra quality. choose a CPU+MB that cost you 300$-350$.
4. Your system can last for another 5 years. biggrin.gif

you've got the upgrade itch, i just hate to see people throw their money away.

you can have the same performance as a non overclocked 4 core amd system, you just need to upgrade to a discrete GPU around 150 or less usd.
grab a widescreen monitor? you photoshop yes? you'll love doing things on the widescreen monitor, they look sweet, its like a whole new computer when you go from an old crt monitor to a widescreen led biggrin.gif like enjoying computers for the first time all over again lol.

then upgrade the psu down the road to an ok budget one (you'll want to start a new thread for that when you do)
and you will be set for when you have cash, and your cpu/mobo ram start to really get old. you wont have to buy the psu or monitor or gpu.....just mobo/cpu/ram.

i dont know, it seems smart to me??? who wants to use a 15 inch crt lol

id rather have same performance with better viewing pleasure, than same performance, empty wallet/bank account and a poor viewing experience tongue.gif
