gerroff: i get you now. thats insane you cant set a set vcore. glad i didnt go gigabyteme. i didnt like the msi board i had because i had 2 options for llc, hi vdroop or low vdroop.
hernandez: yeah, you are i are doing the same thing. i just need more vcore sadly. but mine reads less vcore under load than when i set it manually.

Push your LLC. The heat is creating more resistance and therefore less voltage. LLC will counter this and give you the voltage under load you want.

Yes, that is what I was wondering if I could do. I was not sure if it was possible or if people just left the vcore on load voltage.

So when i set my offset vcore to say 1.290v and cpuz says my vcore under load is running at 1.284v, Is that Vdroop?

My uefi bios has 5 settings, Load-line calibration can be set to Auto, Regular, Medium, High, Ultra High, and Extreme settings.
So if I Try different llc settings it might stop this?

one more thing, Is it better to set my ram to xmp or manually enter the timings? Does it matter which one I do?

Still learning, the information on this subject is pretty intimidating and overwhelming to be honest, bare with me please

follow munaim1's guide and also $ilent's overclocking guide.

munaim:
http://www.overclock.net/14466483-post2250.html

$ilent:
http://www.overclock.net/intel-cpus/1100100-info-intel-2500k-2600k-overclocking-tips.html

and there is luke who wrote up an offset guide though i find it a little complicated. i just took what munaim said and used it. it worked pretty well for me

luke's thread for offset:
http://www.overclock.net/t/1219588/offset-mode-overclocking-starter-guide-and-thread

i hope you understand it. if not, munaim1's guide will have you there.

I read that guide multiple times, The only reason im not following it is its a guide to start at 4.5ghz and continue up to see how high you can go.
I only am interested in a stable 4.4ghz overclock and leave it. So I figured for a small overclock like mine it was overkill. but maybe im wrong.

ill give the others a read though

thanks homie

figured it out using this guide, so far 4.4ghz stable with 5 hour prime95
I went the impatient, irrisponsible route and jumped right to 4.4, but so far so good.
Thanks everyone for your help

Yes that is Vdroop, fiddling with LLC settings will counteract this, but if you go too far i.e. extreme then you may get Vrise which is the opposite of Vdroop. It is just practice and patience getting it perfect.

Set it to XMP for now. That is the optimum settings provided by the RAM supplier.
