Surf/browse the web on your hdtv with a device? Logitech revue?

Thread Starter
I have a old... hdtv a samsung hdtv 46 inch 120hz....Now im wondering is there any device out there.. I could buy and hook up to watch youtube and watch jwplayer videos? sigh if all else fails i would have to build a htpc which im trying to avoid.

does any one have experience with the Logitech revue i know its at its end of life... but it seems like i could hook it up to my tv and surf the web, watch videos on websites, and etc. I would like the ability to just go on a site and browse videos with ease.. sites include youtube.com (not streaming via app), Vimeo, and etc.

does anyone recommend something better than logitech revue?

Thanks.

There are a few good streaming boxes out there. Roku would be my top choice. It's small, affordable, full of features though it doesn't support web browsing so it's probably not what you want. The Boxee Box supports web browsing though I don't know how well it works. The WD TV Live is also a great streaming box though it doesn't have a web browser. There's also the Apple TV.

All of the streaming boxes I know of either lack a web browser or have a poor web browser that isn't much better than the one you'll find in your smart phone. For what you're looking for I think a low power HTPC would be best.
