bf3 stuttering/freezing/connecting problems

Whenever I play bf3 on my laptop, I run into quite a few problems.

The first problem is that when I play, I get really bad stuttering problems. It happens about 99% of the time, with very few times of smoothness. My fps drops from about 60 frames to about 11-15 or so. Also, sometimes my weapons and such don't appear when it's stuttering. I can still shoot and my bullets will fire and damage people, but my gun just doesn't appear.

The second problem I encounter is that bf3 freezes. The time it happens is very random. Sometimes it occurs after about 10 seconds, and sometimes it occurs after 30 or 40 minutes. It completely freezes with no sounds playing in the background or anything and I have to close it through the task manager process list.

Lastly, I'm having trouble connecting to servers. It only started happening after these 2 most recent updates for the game. Whenever I click on my shortcut for bf3 on my desktop, origin will log me in like usual but my internet explorer won't open up and load battlelog. When I open up battlelog myself and try to join a server, it just keeps trying to connect. So far the only way I've been able to temporarily fix this is to do a repair install on bf3 through origin.

This is my laptop and its details:

My laptop is up to date on its video card driver, but I'm not sure about its audio driver. Also, I'm pretty sure it's not a temperature problem.

I've been having these problems since the day I installed bf3 and it would be great to actually be able to play this game smoothly. Thanks in advance for the help!

I'm just throwing this out there to see if I can help:

1) Have you tried using Chrome instead of IE?

2) Try cleaning out the temp files: RUN>%temp%>highlight all> DELETE>SKIP for the files that can't be removed.

3) Disable you av.

If your weapon is disappearing you need to adjust the network latency slider. If you have it all the way down, you may experience your gun disappearing. Try moving it to the middle and then + 10% or - 10% until animations look right (knifing, dead bodies sliding, guns sliding).

As for connecting I have no ideas.

Well I tried using the network smoothing slider and it seemed like it just about completely stopped my gun from disappearing! I'll have to keep slightly adjusting it until it's completely gone. Thank you!

Also, my stuttering almost completely went away, but it's weird though, I have a pretty good laptop and I put all my graphics settings on low and I only average about 40-46 frames, but whenever I get even close to a tank or explosion, it drops to about 15 frames. I'll have to check out if my gpu is being fully used when I'm playing and my friend is hopefully going to help me out with it.

All in all, it's EXTREMELY nice to be actually be able to play; drops in fps at this point are a bit annoying, but at least the game is playable! I'll have to make sure that all these things weren't just temporary though so I'll try to post back when I get it confirmed. Thank you for your advice and help!
