Accelero Twin Turbo II Installed on GTX 680 **Warning 56k** - Page 12

post #111 of 140
Could someone verify that I have placed heatsinks correctly? (pic in spoiler warning)
And is there a difference if i put them horizontally or vertically?

Yellow = Heatsink
Red = No heatsink

OT: Anyone else having "driver stopped working" problems?

Hmmz, i seem to be unable to control the Fan Speed now. : /

It does change in percentage but the RPM stays the same.

Well here it is =] I did remove the thermal pad that came on the Backplate as i got a bad experience with it on my 580 aswell. They are leaking oil, nothing to worry about, but it all becomes a mess. I only added thermal pads for the memory.

And i thought the Fan Speed Control didn't work, but it does work. Just none of the programs are able to properly read the RPM anymore.

Hi everyone,

I have recently installed the Accelero Twin Turbo onto my MSI GTX 680 and everything is working well. Idle temps are about 27/28 degrees and into the 50's while under load.

I used the glue provided and all is well. I followed the instructions exactly, mixed the two ingredients together for 5 minutes and got it spread and pushed the heatspreader down for the required 10 seconds well within the 15 minutes. I also used a rubber to clean the components too.

I did come across one problem, when I booted into my computer and tried to run Ntune the computer would crash to BSOD and shut down. I thought perhaps I installed the cooler wrong but upon further investigation I found out the there is a problem with Ntune itself. I have played BF3 and have come across no problems.

Ntune is kinda old don't use it.

You should try EVGA Precision or MSI Afterburner they are top apps and work great.

I am about to buy this for my Evga 670 GTX FTW which is 680 pcb. But I have some questions.

Where exactly is the insulation tape supposed to be placed? I cant get exact answer from AC. and consider the ftw 670 use 680 pcb could some one post picture where those insulation tape goes? Also spacers 2.3 i use?

Installed a AC accerlo s2 on a 9800gt pretty sure that had no insulation tape, also dont think i installed HS on VR on that either that card last me 3 years and never loaded past 60c before i rma it cause ram on it went bad

How do you know it works? I'm having the same problem too.
