For the motherboard, I'd suggest the Asus P5B Deluxe, or the Abit AW9D-Max. Choose the Abit if you plan on running in a dual card system, the P5B Deluxe if you're not.

You could get 2 kits of this RAM for 4 Gbs:

You'll need a power supply, I reccomend the PC Power & Cooling Silencer 750W.

For cooling, air is definently the easiest to set up, so I reccomend this:

paired up with this:

This is going to be a sick rig, so you can't be running onboard sound... so use this:

Not bad Namrac, but I suggest a AW9D MAX or the P5W DH because th X6800 has an unlocked multi and hence the FSB means nothing. Also, you can crossfire the X1950XTX. But! I suggest you wait till November the 7th for the 8800GTS.

I've heard of people having a helluva lot of problems trying to run over I think it was 13x multipliers. Kinda like going over the 15x multi with Athlon FX chips, it just doesn't work very well. Plus, the higher the FSB, the better the performance at a given clockspeed.

I can run 2142 no problem, so will that. I'd save some of your money and get one or two kickass DX10 cards and Vista when it comes out, this X1950XTX will become obsolete pretty quickly.

Well duh, its only the top of the line gpu =p. Namrac, with a x13 multi you could get a ridiculous clock speed. The 975X reaches 350FSB? Thats conservative...13 x 350 is way over 4 Ghz.
