Any good space flying game? - Page 2

This is stretching it a bit but what about garry's mod? You can make your own planes and spaceships. In fact, you can make pretty much ANYTHING you want lol. I assume you would just want to be able to start the game and fly though. rolleyes.gif

Wings of Prey is another game you might want to try. I haven't played it much but it's pretty fun plane game. (And hard!)

Garry's mod is a full game. It is just based on the half life 2 engine. So for what type of game is it, it's a full out sandbox game. It is not limited to planes, or space, but can easily be used for that type of gameplay if you want. If you google it, you will see how open of a game it really is.

Well, it probably won't tax your system, but Space Pirates And Zombies has given me dozens of hours of play. Its a 2d top down space shooter with many ships and lots of tech to customize to your style of play. It can be challenging and there is a little bit of grinding but the space battles are pretty awesome thumb.gif

Evochron: Mercenary, it's a relatively new space sim with multiplayer.

Going back further, much further, Descent is an awesome sort of space combat series biggrin.gif D2X-XL is a great full rewrite of the graphics engine for Descent 2, and it actually plays very well on modern systems.
