what mechanical keyboard should i get?

Thread Starter
i want a back lit mechanical keyboard that is good for gaming (FPS) and also typing, but i don't care about macros, etc. at all. i'd like it to be under 150 and the lower the better... i'd really like the kind of backlighting that can change colors, etc. and do cool stuff, or realistically i dont really need back lit if there's a better keyboard. THANKS IN ADVANCE

I am using the Das Keyboard Model S Ultimate Silent! It does not have a back light, but it has fully blank keys which just make it too sexy biggrin.gif Honestly I love it and it runs for about $130. It's not as flashy as you seem to want, but it types like a beast and is really unique. Check em out http://www.daskeyboard.com/ they are definitely worth it.

Gah, I had a Ducky 9008G2 with Browns, and I hated it so much. The keys pinged to high heaven and the Cherry style stabilizers sucked. There's also the thing about the different switch on the space bar that I never got. It completely ruined my flow when typing. I almost had to hammer the spacebar each time for it to register.

I replaced it with a Rosewill RK9000 and have been happy ever since.

I love backlighting. It helps me find the keys that I do not use very often in the dark.
