The different graphics drivers probably make more difference than your RAM.
Also, fragmentation is the only explanation if it's a mechanical drive, his drive is dirty as hell if it's an SSD.

Edit: Or he's running something in the background that slows his loading down.
Basically the differences between your two installations will matter more than the RAM.

Same HDD, we both defrag daily (windows auto does it)
Same motherboard
Different GPU
Different RAM
Same internet tongue.gif

So yea

Different amount data on the HD, TSRs, etc. all effect results. You must run the tests on the same machine to have accurate comparative data.

Bringing a dead thread up but ram does decrease or increase load times in game. hdd only does a set amount. I did a new build intel and started out with 4 gigs of ram added 4 more and my load time reduced by 20 secs. Now on my old rig which was a slower amd setup loaded just as fast because of the memory i had and when i took 4 gigs out of it to sell the load time increased.
