I would just leave the 64GB as the boot and change the default install path to the 120GB SSD.

that's the solution that I've been moving towards, the more i learn about my potential options. There is a way to tell windows to automatically (by default) install programs and/or save files to a drive other than the boot drive?

Yep, http://www.overclock.net/t/1156654/seans-windows-7-install-optimization-guide-for-ssds-hdds/1170#post_15989972

As for saving files do you mean like your user folders like documents, downloads, pictures, music, etc? If so here:
Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
Move user folder locations to Secondary HDD:
  1. Right click your folder (ex. My pictures)
  2. Click Properties
  3. Click the Location tab
  4. Change the destination to your other HDD (ex. D:\Pictures)
Note 1: Recommended, I do this myself for my user folders (ex. My Documents, My pictures, Desktop, etc.)
Note 2: If there are two of the same folder in teh User folder after the move (ie. My Documents "A" and My Documents "B") you should delete the empty one located on the C: drive. (May need to go into safe mode to delete it) Do not delete the other User folders, only duplicates that come up after the move within the User folder.
Note 3: If the folder already exists that you are linking it to you may want to merge the folders.

    Video Tut:

Also, check this thread out, it could help a lot with space: http://www.overclock.net/t/1156654/seans-windows-7-install-optimization-guide-for-ssds-hdds/1170#post_15989972

Sean; offtopic here. Not to derail your guide, but would you recommend that method of moving the Users folder contents over the "autounattend" method? I used the autounattend version to move my Users folders themselves (ProfilesDirectory), and maybe that wasn't the best idea ever? Haha.

Edited- because it blocked the 'tag' there for the XML.

I don't care for it personally, but it shouldn't matter i would think.

Just my OCD speaking, thank you though. Yeah, I don't exactly like the whole sysprep-mode thing, but the fact that moves "AppData" was why I chose it. One might say it doesn't matter either way, but I have noticed a lot of weird bugs (my OCD again) with Event ID 1530 happening a LOT, and the start menu getting hung up. That only seems to happen after the XML version of moving stuff. :/
