Hey everyone, just wanted to ask if someone could troubleshoot as to why my Logitech Z-2300 2.1 speaker system has a hum from the speakers.
Details about hum:
- doesn't change in volume, and stays the same
- present when the system is on (regardless of audio being played or not)
- sounds electrical?
- audio source input doesn't matter (e.g. computer, phone, mp3 player), hum is still there
The two speakers are attached to the L & R audio jacks in the subwoofer, and the subwoofer has a single non-grounded plug that is plugged into my power strip (with my desktop, monitor, etc). I tried plugging in to the wall outlet directly but I still received the same hum.
The hum is only noticeable/bothersome when I'm trying to play some quiet ambient music to help me study. If my music is being played a bit louder then the hum can't be heard (but it's still there).
Any ideas?
