If I have 8gb of Ram though, shouldn't I be running Intel Burn test on "very high" and maybe even running it for more than 50x scans?

I can pass intel burn test on 50x with STANDARD but on Very high, I fail on the 4th or 6th scan --- why??

Bump the vcore a notch. And on a side note I have C1E and Speedstep enabled. C3 and C6 are disabled. But I did not disable C3 and C6 until I got my overclock stabilized and setup the offset.

What is your PLL and VCCIO voltage?

i left pLL and VCCIO on auto because every guide I read said to leave that auto

Well I ran 4.3ghz at 1.200vcore and passed "VERY HIGH" with 50 scans on Intel Burn Test.

4.4 ghz @ 1.230 failed on "VERY HIGH" and at 1.240 "VERY HIGH" it failed even faster (4th scan, instead of previous 6th scan).

Not sure if it needs an exponential "jump" in vcore for 4.4ghz or what.....
...but temps started to get near 70C max on Core #1 so I'm happy with 4.3ghz.

This was with speedstep off, C1E off, and C3 and C6 enable.

It does seem to be more stable at idle. I will haveto see the next few days if I get any blue screens.

I like IBT better than p95 too. it seems a better stresser and like it gets it to fail faster. I noticed I can't even move my mouse desktop or it freezes where as running P95 I could browse the web with it running.

That totally makes sense.

And I'm not even being sarcastic.

Yeah, it's unstable at those clocks, when you reach the stage of exponential jumps in vcore it becomes annoying frown.gif hello higher temps!

Try Disabling Flash in adobe. (Right click a flash application and uncheck enable hardware acceleration) Also try setting the following C states

C1E = Enable
EIST = Enabled
C3 = auto
C6 = auto

in windows also power saving mode set the shut off hard drive after 20 minutes to never and disable all power saving minus the monitor shut off after an hour or two i keep that on just because my PC is on 24/7 and i want my monitor to live a bit longer. Also Try disabling CPU-Spread spectrum. if its enabled try disabling. Also check out the thread on x124 BSOD's on sandy and the fix its a very good thread and has helped alot of people. could be your VCCIO also try 1.10 volt. Chances are if its happening more during non idle its either memory related so run memtest86. Also could be the LLC setting. also download Blue screen viewer to see what BSOD error your getting and post a screenshot of blue screen viewer and what it is tellin ya its a great tool for analyzing a BSOD. MS Debugging tool is also VERY good for seeing what a BSOD is doing but it can involve a bit of knowledge to utilize it properly with the symbols. Also important thing is never let a BSOD slide and brush it off as nothing, A BSOD means a critical error has occurred and must be investigated. When i get a BSOD i thoroughly investigate it like a detective investigating a crime lol. And i rule whether it is a software or a dreaded hardware related error and then remedy the situation. Hardware is when i take it more seriously.
