Getting my first mechanical keyboard (need help with switches)

Thread Starter
I'm a big gamer, I play mostly first-person shooters. For normal typing, I split time between my laptop and my desktop.

I'm looking for a few specific features in my new keyboard. It must not have a numpad (tenkeyless). I want it to have a light actuation force because my arms touch the keyboard at a low angle. And I want to cut down on noise where possible.

I'm thinking either Cherry MX Red, Black or Brown. But I have no experience with any mechanical keyboards. I ordered the CM Storm QuickFire Rapid (Red) yesterday but I can cancel the order because it's Saturday and won't ship until Monday at least.

What should I get? And which is quieter, red, black or brown switches?

Thanks!

I find Red and Black switches pretty even - Black switches louder since the switch is so stiff, but Reds can be louder because they are easier to bottom out. I think neither are unacceptably loud and you made the right choice, if they're still too loud for you though you can pick up some key dampeners to soften the noise from bottoming out...
