Ready to push the limits

Thread Starter
Hi everyone, I finished building my PC a few months ago and I'm finally ready to see what 'he' can do.

MSI X58M Intel X58 m-ATX
Intel Core i7-960 3.2Ghz 8M LGA1366 (Currently running at 4GHz from upping my multi)
Corsair Hydro H70 Liquid Cooler
Patriot Sector 7 12GB DDR3 PC10600 1333MHz
EVGA GeForce GTX 550 Ti 2GB PCIe 2.0
Kingston 64GB SSDNow V100 SATA2 (OS & Programs)
WD Caviar .5Tb (Storage - I do alot of photography aka digital negatives)
Kingwin LAZER 850W
NZXT Sentry LX
Cooler Master Elite 430
Win 7 64

Any advice or tips are much appreciated.

Pictures of my machine are below, I know the cables look ratty but 95% are much better now.

This is what I've been able to do with my PC. Anytime I try to go above 4.0GHz, I get a failed OC warning during POST. Has anyone else seen this kind of problem.

Does this sound right as a good place to start OC'ing. I'm just trying to find my max BCLK before I start messing with my multiplier.

BCLK 150
Staring Vtt = 1.15

Step BCLK by 10 / 5 / 2 / 1
Run Prime95 for 5 minutes - If Prime95 fails, BSoD or reboot Increase Vtt by +0.025
Repest until stable test

Final Vtt 1.35
Run Prime95 for 1 hour - If Prime95 fails, BSoD or reboot Step BCLK by -5 / -2 / -1
Repeat until stable test
