Hey guys, I just noticed something about my replacement board (my first one's sata controller gave in)
I recently bought 16Gb 8-8-8-24 ram modules from G.skill and had some misunderstandings about the way to get them at those promised speeds here. During the fiddling with my BIOS, I decided to try out X.M.P. . My DRAM clocks were adjusted as I wanted them to be, all good and stuff...until I rebooted and noticed my temps had gone up a bit and they were not shifting like they always did ;D I ran cpu-z and noticed that my cpu is at its turbo ratio the whole time (3700Mhz right now). I can only guess that by turning off auto mode on this mobo, speedstep (which is enabled in bios) just totally vanished and the turbo never turns off either (even when I'm just staring at my desktop without running anything).
this occurs on both manual profiles and X.M.P. profiles.
Any ideas? thanks in advance
