Where is the gauge for the CPU temp? Whats the most accurate reader and is there something I can buy that will manually tell me my temp on a screen?

Not sure what the newest thing is out since I've been out of the loop the last couple of months, but speedfan and Everest are pretty good to start with. Use Everest if your unsure what temps are what in speedfan. I like speedfan because it has graphs for the temps and voltages. But it doesen't usually state what temp is what so use Everest for that.

PC Wizard has a function that puts all the temps of the sistem on the right top corner.
Try it , it's pretty acurate ( it gave me the same values as Nvidia monitor and Asus Probe II)

Here are a couple of programs for you. I suggest using multiple programs to monitor and don't forget your BIOS readings too as they provide acurate information.

speedfan

core temp

PC Wizzard 2006

Another one is Motherboard Monitor 5 but I have never had much joy or faith in it.
