Scanned my Flash drive and found nothing. I guess I never scanned my removable media HDD. That will take a LONG time but its worth a try.

Scaned all my HDDs and flash drives. Found no viruses with AVG or Malwarebytes. Even scaned in safe mode.

Not sure what to do anymore. Obviously AVG is failing me big time. Can you guys suggest some better antivirus? I have tried Norton in the past and that was so slow it took over 2 hours to remove a single trojan from my parents computer.

Well I'm not sure if this is what you have and I've only ran across it a couple of times at work but there is a virus that creates a hidden partition on the hard drive and even if you reformat it it comes back, what it does is after you reinstall the OS it boots through the hidden partition prior to the OS partition and even though everything seems fine it comes back.

DBAN that baby.

Hope that helps.

burn it with fire!

Steps:

Using a non-infected computer for steps 1-2,

1) Download and burn Darik's Boot And Nuke. http://www.dban.org/
2) Redownload a Windows 7 SP1 installation disc and reburn it to a new CD/DVD.

3) Back-up your data.
4) Remove everything that stores any sort of data except a single hard-drive.
5) Boot off DBAN.
6) Install Windows.
7) Don't copy your back-up to your hard-drive yet. Post your results before you do anything else to your computer.

If you use ANY data (game files, movies, songs, etc.) then you may have just reloaded the viris back onto your machien. Some advanced virises atach themselves to the start up codacs of media files and 'sleep' untill you open the file. Then your computer runs the codacs and installs inself. I heard of one viris that embedded itself in almost all your data to make it extermely diffacaled to remove it and having a high chance of you spending it. You could have a very serios viris on your hands. If you loaded any data on to the new reformated disk you could have just put the viris right back on. Sercurity programmes cant catch everything
