Thanks man, I am really hoping they are as good as they say, I am switching from dual 6950's.

If you don't mind could you run some benchmarks with your 6950s and then again right after you install the 7970?

I actually sold the 6950's to get the 7970 or else I totally would. I am sorry man. :/

Just wondering why did you choose the 7970 over GTX 680? (Over here the 680 is 20€ cheaper)

Actually I recently did the same thing. Once you put the cards at similar clockspeeds their performance is very close. With "lock" on the 680 ocing I chose to go 7970 mainly due to the extra ram and I could find sapphire cards for about 20 usd more than the 680.

Pretty much the same reason, I have been with hd3000 graphics for about a week while waiting for the 680's to be in stock and I finally decided screw it the sapphire model 7970 is only $20 more and has 1 gb extra v-ram. Plus at the same clocks the 7970 performs better on average it appears so I figured I would just get that. biggrin.gif
