Yeah, but they have the TPU switch which clocks to 4,4Ghz, I think I'll stick to that.

Boxed cooler= 10 seconds of Prime95 @ 3,4Ghz ->90*C
NH-D14= 30 minutes of Prime95 @ 3,4Ghz ->50*c max

EDIT:

After 10 mins of Prime95:

4.431Ghz, 1.320V max temps are 68-70-72-70

here this might help you in applying the thermal paste smile.gifbuy these and tag them on the VRMs for better results wink.gif
i m not sure of this but yet try fitting the Enzotech MST-88 Here Enzotech MST-88 placement (Click to show)
700
and the Enzotech MOS-C1 over here Enzotech MST-88 Placement (Click to show)
700
and you are good to overclock it like any other overclockable boards smile.gif

Hope that helped thumb.gif

*EDIT*
the best TIM i would say is MX-4 but the one with D14 should do well wink.gif

Do I need the MOSFET coolers? Seems to be good ATM.

Where can I see the Mobo temps? SpeedFan showed main at 57*C after half an hour.

Pea?

With the Noctua TIM, put a bleb about the size of 3-4 long rice grains in the middle, then let the mounting pressure spread it out.

As you can see, a pea-sized blob would flood your cpu with TIM.

Edit: 91% rubbing alcohol will clean off TIM.

all the motherboard have different sensor in the Speed fan and the HWmonitor Screen Shot rolleyes.gif

*edit*
try AIDA 64 it shows the NB and other temps too i guess check it out and tell me wink.gif
post #16 of 34
n note another thing in the stock cooler there is a gentle air flow over the VRMs when you replace it by a tower cooler there is minimum or no airflow over the VRMs rolleyes.gif something like this happens when the system is on stock intel cooler
450
Hope you get what i m saying redface.gif

Aren't the MOSFET coolers quite overkill? It's not that extreme overclock. Also, I'm afraid that the sinks would interfere with the cooler.

I'll check the mobo temps and see if I need one or two.

The best TIM is Indigo Xtreme/MainGear Epic T1000 wink.gif

NT-H1 and MX-4 are great though. I'm just surprised there's no Prolimatech PK-1 and Phobya HeGrease love in here.

I used indigo extreme and it is a few (2c to 3c) lower at best and if done right you can't get a bad mount as I never did once but it cost way too much for what you get. It's about $20 for 2 applications so it's up to you if you would like to try it or not.

Interesting, eh? Those are the two best TIM's. But NT-H1 comes with the heatsink.
