whats a good graphics card for my 300w power supply? - Page 2

if your psu goes yes it could easily take out just about everything in your computer. i uselly go at least 400watts for a psu. yours can take a 7750 but i wouldnt feel safe with that brand

your 9650 is a 95w chip, you should be fine, assuming your psu rating isnt an outright lie you've got ~225w on your 12v

what clocks are you running that CPU at? that will bottleneck you pretty good

Chances are it might fry the motherboard, I would get a cheap (not no-name brand though) 400W PSU, something like this (assuming you're in the US)

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139026

It's $45 but it could save you a quite a bit of money if your current PSU blows out.

unless the clocks are >2.3 ghz i find it hard to see even a phenom x4 bottlenecking an entry level card like the 7750, except in cpu limited games like sc2

LiteON is an OEM for manufacturers like HP. They aren't good and they aren't terrible. They have basic protection, so it probably wouldn't fry anything but I wouldn't want that powering any worthy graphics card either. I'd recommend this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817151077 27A combined on the 12V, and way better built than that LiteON

and for a graphics card, you can get this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814131441 which puts you at roughly $120 and that GPU should play all those games on high settings that you mentioned

7750tdp is ~50watts
50watts/12volts=~4 amps

Yes, your cheapo psu will handle it
