Yamakasi Catleap confusion?

Are these screens legit? I mean I hardly ever come to this section of the site, but I do today (April 1st) and I see all these threads about low priced, 1440p, s-ips, 100hz (some) monitors... This just doesn't seem right to me, how can monitors of that high quality and low price suddenly be made when a few months ago I was hearing it would take ages for them to exist :/. Also the damn company is named after a parkour move...

They are legit. All screen these day are made in Korea.
If I remember currently it is the same LG screen use in HP, Dell, Apple high end monitor. They bought the panel from the ODM. Unlike the Re-brand company, Apple, Dell, Hp, they don't make ton of money by slapping a logo on it.
Now the down side is:
They only sell them in Korea and only have customer/RMA service over there.
Not as good binned panel.
Less input.
Depend on the model, you can't RMA panel with some bright dot.

binned panel? Less input as in less inputs, e.g. hdmi, dvi etc? And what's bright dot?
