Adaptive Vsync does it work well?

Anyone using Adaptive Vsync in BF3? Dose it work well or is just using regular Vsync work better. And one thing I do not understand about this whole Vsync thing is frame rate. I have read that when using Vsync if your frame rates fall below 60 it basically means your frames are now 30. What I don't understand is, when using Evga Precision thing I have it set to show my current frame rates. And it shows 55-60 all the time. Does that mean I am getting 55-60 or is it more like 25-60? Confused :-(

Adaptive VSYNC:

IF YOU CAN GET OVER 60FPS, YOU WILL BE CAPPED AT 60FPS ON A 60HZ MONITOR.

IF YOU GET 58 FPS IT WILL NOT BE 30FPS IT WILL BE 58FPS.

IF YOU GET 31FPS IT WILL BE 31 FPS NOT 30 FPS.

Normal VSYNC:

Over 60 = 60 fps

under 60 is 30 fps

under 30 = 15 fps

under 15 GL.

Basically it will sync if over your refresh rate, if under it it won't.

the fps you're getting is accurate. 60 will be maximum, minimum will vary.

It was so weird when i tried it. But I perfer my fps above 100 in games and a couple hundred in quake based games

For me I find that with adaptive sync in BF3 it ran better.

Ive never been able to believe this. Been a laptop gamer a long time so going under 60 is normal. Id sure as hell notice 30 looking like 15 it would be unplayable. Yet i see this written all the time. Apparently having triple buffering enabled changes this up a bit? All i can say is I know 15 fps, 24 and 30+

The other question i guess is why frame counters never reflect it. I mean if the card was still drawing i could see it still counting frames in the buffer but...? Once again the triple buffering option affecting this?
