GTX 570 is an excellent choice. But be gentle with the overclocking on the reference models. Look here

No. The 7850 has similar performance to a GTX 570 in DX11 games, otherwise it's merely around the level of a 6870. The 570 is clearly more powerful in DX9/DX10 games. thumb.gif

However, remember that the 7850 only draws 106w. It's always something to consider.... the 570 draws 213w

Very true, that makes me cringe that my 480 sucks down 250 watts and is slightly better than a 7850
