It doesn't show any disk usage for me, are there configs that write to files?

I haven't heard anything about that, but when I installed Rainmeter, I put it on my HDD not my OS SSD, which is what I did for most of my programs. I only installed certain ones on the SSD that I wanted the extra performance from (PSP, Powerdirector, Dreamweaver, etc.).

To be honest, from what I've read, I'm not even sure these precautions are necessary since it would appear that even when used like a traditional HDD, an SSD will still last years beyond the point where I would have normally replaced it.
