I have to ask, why do you want to change them? The fan assembly is one piece, so you will need to remove it. You can then either zip-tie new fans to it or possible make your own mounting bracket (more work). If you are looking to replace the original OEM fans, I believe AC sells the replacements.

Link does not work and I really don't see the point of going for the #3. It is exactly the same as mine. Cooler doesn't seem different. They probably only changed fans.

@ gymenii
I just want to know how feasible it is. I would like to see how well other fans could do with that cooler plus it's good to know if the fans fail.

Changing out the fans may be a bit less expensive. Yes, strapping a few 120mm fans to it would improve cooling and noise, but it's not exactly a fun project figuring out how to mount them nicely. I imagine the tri-fan setup works pretty good, though, so it may not be worth the hassle unless you are tweaking it for silence.

Sure, its feasible. I would use it stock first and see the results cause AC makes really good stuff. And you probably won't need to change anything.

True, but I was thinking of it since the fans are getting old and one of them is making an unusual noise . It's acceptable for now but I don't know how long it will be until it's just going to be annoying and I will want to replace it...

I was looking for 120mm fans but it's impossible to fit three on it, so I am pretty much stuck with 92mm, 100mm max.
I don't have much choice for the 100mm however,

If you are looking for replacement fans you can order from AC website. Another option are AC F9 92mm PWM fans, which are pretty close to stock specs (600 - 1800 RPM) and strap them on with zipties. I don't know if you have a space problem and can fit 25mm fans, so I'm just throwing that out there. The cooler works pretty good, so I don't think you'll benefit any by getting 100/120mm fans.

On my 5870, I fixed two 80x15 fans with 3M double-sided tape and a couple small zipties, replacing the crappy 92mm stock fan... works wonderful wink.gif
