Swapping C300 for OS - M4 or 520?

I know the m4/520 has been discussed excessively here, but I have a different situation than what I've come across here.

I have the C300 as OS, RE4 games, and WD 2TB as storage.

I want to get a new 120gb SSD, swap it in as the OS, and use the C300 as the games drive.
I know Intel has the awesome data-migration tool that allows me to just clone the OS to the new drive without problems - is it possible to do so with the M4 as well?
And I know Intel is better at read/write, but M4 is better at random reads. I'm not sure, but doesn't that make the M4 better as an OS drive then?

Thanks thumb.gif

Get whichever is cheapest. Also, consider the Samsung 830 and Plextor M3.

the M4 is the cheapest.

one question tho - can i use the same data migration tool, or another one that works the same, to clone my OS to the new SSD?
don't want to re-install.

I use this personally: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/663-backup-complete-computer-create-image-backup.html

You can also use Easus ToDo Backup, Macrium Reflect, Acronis disk image, clonezilla, etc.

i was thinking of getting the 64 one too, but i think that's a little too close for comfort for the OS drive.

Nope, same goes for SSD -> HDD. It doesn't cause instability at all.
