[dupe] Poor compression for .gif avatars

Reproducibility:

Pretty much consistent when you upload a .gif file for OCN to compress.

 

Repro Steps:

Upload a .gif file, and compare the quility to the original file. It'll usually be quite poor.

 

Here is the comparison between the original file for my avatar, and the result when uploaded (OCN version on the left):

Expected:

The .gif files to retain their quality a bit better.

 

Notes:

Might also affect transparent .png files not working correctly (the backgrounds becoming black after the upload, etc).

IIRC you are only allotted 140kb for an avatar. So likewise, serious compression.

For avatars, perhaps, but the same issues happen when you upload the .gif to post in a thread. So I think it's more Huddler's compression system.
