Start of a new TEC-Water cooling rig IVY 3770K - Page 5

I can relate to the high dew points, I am in FL so its always hot and humid down here. During the day in the summer my dew point is around 18c, which kills my load temp on a direct die TEC setup.

I tossed around the idea of a Duc, since I can get a used one for less then the new 14, but the parts and maintenance costs are so much higher then my Kawi and my bike is my main mode of transportation since my car is more of just a track toy. I would hate to rack up so many miles on a Duc.

Can't wait to see some results on the chiller. I tossed around the idea of running one in line with my DD block for some sub zero action but have a hard time justifying that since I don't even bench anymore redface.gif.

Spent yesterday afternoon at the machinists severely modding my water block and IHS for my de-lidded 3770K. Water block will go through the IHS and sit directly on the processor die. Tec`s used will be 2 of Mindchills 62`s- 2-50 mm and two 40 mm . Power is a Seasonic X-1250 and a Mean Well SP 480, More on case and cooling system later. Ordered my last two 50 mm Tec`s, 2 controllers, and a 800 power digital microscope so I can see how the Graphene is mixing in with the carrier host TIM. Starting to get a little overwhelming with all the crazy bits and pieces needed. Hope I can cram it all in the AZZA case.kookoo.gif

Picked up a few items at the post office today, Mean Well SP 480-12 power supply. Adjustable voltage from 10.8 to 13.2 volts DC. Also picked up two of the controllers I will use for now, will adjust temps down to -50 C but relay is good for 15 amps at 12 volts or 10 amps at 24 volts. Two controllers fit in one bay spot and I will look into upgrading the relays to something with a little more capacity. Bought two Titans today with some money I had in my pocket but I ate one, was a pretty good chocolate bar !whistle.gif

Posties delivered my dual pump top today, Aquacomputer dual top will be used on cold side for pushing 60 % propylene-40 % water slush through. Wanted to go with the Iwaki RD-20 that the wise Rognin suggested but I like things kind of quiet so I opted for dual Laing 3.25`s. I will most likely order a spare pair of them for when they pack it in. smile.gif >

More junk coming in the following weeks.
