Need help setting up speakers

Hey guys, I bought a Traktor Kontrol S2 (midi controller) the other day along with some inexpensive Logitech Z623 speakers to mess around with. My issue is that the main outputs for the S2 are dual 1/4" or dual RCA jacks. My Logitech speakers use the standard 1/8" headphone jack. So I went out to radio shack and got a dual 1/4" to single 1/4" converter, then a 1/4" to 1/8" converter. My issue is that sound is only coming out of the left speaker. I know the converters and the speakers work, because I am able to test it on the front headphone jack.

Is this kind of conversion possible? Am I missing a certain part, or do I need to return these speakers and get real monitors?

It should work, I'm not sure exactly which connectors you have can you link them, you'd need Dual mono (left and right) to single stereo 1/4" and then a stereo 1/4" to 1/8". If it has RCA I'd use one like This, or with 1/4" to stereo mini jack one like this.

I can't find what I have on the internet, so here is a picture. Dual mono 1/4" to female 1/4", and 1/4" to female 1/8" . Maybe the 1/4" female side to the first connector is also mono, and all the sound is going to one channel? I wonder if this RCA to 1/8" would work better.

EDIT: yep, the package says dual mono to mono female. I'm going to go ahead and order that RCA connector from Monoprice. Thanks
