Heaven 3.0 not utilizing crossfire?

Thread Starter
Hey all. I'm running trying to run Heaven 3.0 Benchmark on my 6970/6950 crossfire but while running the benchmark, MSI Afterburner shows that my 6950 GPU utilization sits at 0%. I can confirm this when I disable crossfire in catalyst (12.3) and the fram rate is the same while running the benchmark. Crossfire works fine while running other games, just not this benchmark for some reason. I'd really like to get this benchmark working because I'm running eyefinity and I just ordered a 3rd video card for trifire and I'd like to do some before/after. Thanks guys for any help you may give!

Are you running it in full screen mode?
Crossfire doesnt work in windowed mode.

Yes I'm running it in fullscreen. Late last night I ran the benchmark in the game Just Cause 2 and saw that it was only using 1 GPU as well. I wonder what gives, this used to run cfx just fine.

Run this patch then try again

Just tried the patch, restarted PC. Same result unfortunately :-(.

Do it properly and restart PC or reset Afterburner then retart PC. Or restore to factory defaults from CCC menu. Make sure crossfire is enabled in CCC. The patch will not reconfigure on the fly lol

I installed the patch. Afterward I reset CCC to factory defaults, and also reset MSI afterburner to defaults. Rebooted the PC back into Windows and tried again. No-go unfortunately. Still only using one GPU in Heaven benchmark. I'm a bit dumbfounded.

I do appreciate the time you're taking in helping me.

Have you tried to create Crossfire profile for Heaven 3.0? Or did you install the latest CAP?

I've finally figured out my problem in Heaven 3.0. In the initial settings screen there's a checkbox for "multi-monitor". So since I'm using 3 monitors for eyefinity, I checked yes. Well that was what was causing me to run in single GPU. If I leave that box unchecked, crossfire and tri-fire work great.

Thanks Ken for your help.

If you are not running the Benchmark in Eyefinity, that could be the reason.
