[TigerDirect] Samsung 15.6" A6 Laptop $400

Thread Starter
This is an insane deal for an A6 laptop. My brother has this laptop and he can run most games pretty good. I've heard people running BF3 and Skyrim on mid setting no prob. Great budget laptop with some gaming capabilities.

btw the upgrade to 8GB of ram was HUGE because of dual channel. Highly recommend it if you purchase this.

Not bad for $400, upgrading to 8GB of dual channel would be a good idea, Llano gets a nice performance increase with higher clock speeds as well.

May jump on this!! I don't like my A53e-XA2 that much..

Update: Holy moly just ordered it! I had to call and order because I had an old 10 dollar credit on my account and could only redeem it by phone. After I ordered, the total came out to about 398 (after shipping and my discount).
After I called, they transferred me to another caller who told me I could get 20 bucks cashback for the laptop I just bought! It cost 1 dollar to sign up for the membership (don't know what it was) which I could cancel within 30 days (after that it's like 15 bucks), to get a 20 dollar check back after I send them the receipt information for that membership!

Not only that, but she gave me yet another membership for 1 dollar for the first month, for another 20 dollars back for that same Samsung laptop! Woot!

You guys should try to order on the phone and see if you can get those same special offers. If you do, make sure you cancel before your 30 days. They specifically told me the 20 dollars back is regardless of whether or not you keep the membership or cancel.

Just got 40 bucks back!

Notes: The lady's name who gave me those promotion things for 1 dollar each is Debra, or Deborah. Also, this offer is probably not for all items, maybe laptops or something. Hope this helps.

Just bought one, but I am curious, which RAM did you upgrade to for 20$? Does it come with a single 4GB module or 2x2GB?

He probably just bought one of those 1x4GB sticks. They normally retail for around $20, and you can sometimes snag a 2x4GB kit for under $30 if you're lucky.

Here's one for $22: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145283&nm_mc=OTC-Froogle&cm_mmc=OTC-Froogle-_-Memory+(Notebook+Memory)-_-Corsair-_-20145283

How will this laptop perform on League of Legends? I'm not familar with AMD's new chipsets.

I was also a little worried that the A6 wouldn't have enough power to run newer games. This surprised me as well! I've played the following games on Low/Medium settings at my default resolution. All these games are very playable.
Batman: Arkham Asylum
Fallout 3
Starcraft 2
World of Warcraft
Dragon Age Origins
Mass Effect
Stalker
Titan Quest Immortal Throne

If games like that are playable on medium/low. LoL should be no problem.

LOL will run easily, probably on high settings. Especially after the overclock.
