Motherboard orientation for Indigo Xtreme ReFlow

Hey there guys I had a problem with my last reflow.
Some of the alloy dripped off and down onto a cap below the cpu
I was wondering if maybe i had the waterblock to tight on it or
If i should have the motherboard flat on the ground when reflowing.
Another thing i'm worried about it if i would be a bad thing if the alloy when inside the CPU through the venting hole on the bottom corner of the cpu

Incase you guys are wondering I have a i7-3960X and a Rampage IV Extreme

Thanks for any input

Ok 2 questions.

1) Did you buy the IX that was for the 2011 CPUs?

2) Did you read the instructions? It states that you seal the area over the vent hole and to only do the re-flow with the motherboard in a horizontal position.

1: Yes the Epic T-1000 from maingear
2: I must have missed that. thanks for pointing that out. but what do i seal the vent hole with? the kit does not come with anything to seal the hole up. should i use some copper tape? Like what is used to tape temp sensors to blocks?

in the instructions it looks like there is a section of the ETI that is supposed to cover it.

I have never used the stuff. I just thoroughly read through their instructions.
