So, I just pushed all of the xfce 4.10 packages into my repository. Upgrading went quite well too, nothing appears to be broken. biggrin.gif

for your distro? better change the site then. It still says 4.8. So you have your own repository's in addition to the debian ones? nice. You must be setting them to a higher priority then the debian ones right? I've been looking for a good repo for steam packages in wheezy/lmde. I think I'll load your distro up in a VM see how it is (I've been meaning to for a while but haven't gotten around to it)

EDIT--

also on your site when I click 'read more' it's features are listed as.. debian 6 testing? better change that to a 7

last I knew, it was still in freeze. Might just be coming out though, so then it would be 7 but 6 might be correct. Nope, it's still on 6 with 7 pending due to the freeze (I believe). http://www.debian.org/releases/ It will be 7 soon but currently it is still on 6. =P I pay close attention to every Debian release, though since I've been on Fedora I haven't been as up to date.

It's in my testing repo, not my main one. So it's not offically 4.10 yet. tongue.gif
As far as priority, yea:
Code:
nyxcharon@guinness:~$ cat /etc/apt/preferences
Package: *
Pin: origin repository.adonislinux.com
Pin-Priority: 910

Package: *
Pin: release a=testing
Pin-Priority: 900

I have a couple people working on it with me now (3 or 4). It should change drastically over the next couple months, especially that god awful installer it currently has. redface.gif

Also, Steam isn't in my repo, yet.
Still working out some kinks on that one.

Try taking the rpms and convert them, although you should also be able to take the Ubuntu ones anyways.... Or take the files from the Ubuntu .debs and create a package with the binary files.

no. I'm not talking about releases. as far as I can tell this is testing, which is officially wheezy ATM

Does anyone know why the fglrx drivers in OpenSUSE have so low performance? I can't watch videos without stutter, and it's annoying. frown.gif

There must be something else going on. I use the 13.1 drivers in openSUSE 12.3 and I don't have any issues with video.

Try adding your user to the video group. I had a similar problem with the Nvidia driver

Problem is libc6 not to mention a bunch of other Ubuntu dependencies. There's a lot of scripts to extract everything needed from the steam .deb and a bunch of Ubuntu .debs, but as far as packaging it cleanly into one deb, that's a different issue. I could just package a script that a user runs, but that's not as nice.
