I have a 24/7 Ubuntu mahcine which tests hard-drives since it seems to be better at finding errors than my wondows machine did. I'm 94% sure that it's 12.04 at the moment, but i would have to check on it

were now have a sticky in linux unix, so everyone coming thou that section will see it. also I going to pm a mod (and then most likley wait a good deal) about moving it to linux/unix, so then it would be in the live stream. off topic, while one of two right places it can go (the other being where I want it to be and should have put it) is a real club killer.

Nice to see the club get some ad space.

I'm just wondering right now why my Kubuntu install won't let me change the CPU governors with cpufreq-utils. Does that only work with Intel chips or something because my only AMD system is stuck on "on demand" governor and I can't change it with cpufreq-set -rg powersave (or even performance).

Because I want to use less power when I don't absolutely need it. Ondemand spends too much time at the highest state.
