Starting to see the difference between Rolling Release and Bleeding Edge now? tongue.gif

Most things in Arch aren't necessarily Bleeding Edge, like most people like the believe. thumb.gif

so what would you define fedora stable as? bleeding edge? or would you apply that to rawhide?

Well, you say arch isnt bleeding edge, and its on the same level as fedora is terms of how uptodate it is, so if its not bleedig edge, what would you say is?

I love it when Busybox scripts fail because you're welcomed with a prompt saying "Something went wrong. You're on your own now, good luck" (or something similar).

Opensuse 12.2 user here. My first distro was Ubuntu (probably the majority of newbies' distro of choice), but a complete new build led me to Opensuse 2 1/2 years ago
because of compatibility issues. I've stuck with it ever since.

KDE version, obviously. wink.gif

Interesting...I found getting some things working in openSUSE working back then more difficult than in buntu but it is probably just me. It's kind of funny how so many people have bashed KDE in the past and now after restarting the poll it's #1. It's not perfect but I never found/find it as bad as people make it out to be.

Back then, KDE4 was in beta and GNOME was rock solid. Things have since flipped

As I recall, Opensuse was the only distro that supported my newer i3 on board graphics with it's newer kernel.
Other distro's wouldn't boot at all.

My experience with KDE was a little buggy to start with, but that was mainly Amarok, that had a tendency to crash
when scanning my music folder. I don't know if that's improved since, as I use VLC for my music now anyway.

I use Mint mostly at present . been playing with Cinnamon as I like neither Gnome 3 (Shell) nor Unity .
I have been using Debian based distros for years ( since "Hamm" ) and developed a liking for Gnome 2.x -not really into KDE though I prefer it most of the current offerings . Interested in how E17 turns out and what gets done with it once it becomes "stable". I have used Elive and was impressed with their implementation of the GUI but would not use it day to day . "Bodhi" looks promising for E17 - see how it turns out .
please add me to your list .
