I would like to join the club as well :-)
Been actually reading this forum section with morning coffee for three years somewhat, this thread http://www.overclock.net/t/11208/linux-partitioning-guide was what actually brought me to the OCN that while ago (and just now registered)
I'm a heavy Debian user, Stable or Testing, considered other distros (and maybe will some day give Arch a try if I have more spare time to set everything up) but then again so far I haven't had any apparent need to install anything else so I'm sticking with it for learning the system and traditions sake :-))

type this in and replace (INSERT CURSE WORD HERE) with a curse word and also press tab were it says [TAB]

grep -r (INSERT CURSE WORD HERE) /usr/src/linux[TAB]/*

example less the cure word

It's an i3-530 (first generation HD graphics)

My folder was only 1GB but still bombed out Amarok, strange.
