Looks good besides that tho.

GW2? Yeah, it does. I'm ok with pve, but pvp is what I play for.

not really, its not entirely pve focused the game is called "guild wars" you know, arena.net has spent alot of time making the pvp competitive fun and fresh,
there will be standard 5v5 arena pvp, world v world v world pvp;which pits 3 servers against each other on a huge map to capture strongholds and earn bonuses for their server, and of course guild vs guild pvp

Tera looks far to over the top... Do the animations get even more ridiculous as you level?

Thus posing the question: Why don't they just rename levels as "ridiculous rating" (RR).

Honestly, the armour, the weapons, the hair... Completely mental!

I wish it appealed to me, the graphics are so bright and colourful, the idea of action based real time combat is amazing and the environments look pretty good. So why don't I want to play it at all? 5 years ago I dreamt of games like this, now they're happening and I can't be any less interested!

I think Blizzard should consider World of Warcraft 2, or a totally new mmorpg with similar mechanics, cause honestly, world of Warcraft, although full of a few undesirable people (which is expected as their player base is the same as the population of a small country) is polished, well thought out, filled with content that always seems to keep you wanting more... Even if the graphics are cartoony, or the humans look like shaved bears, who cares, that's their style, and it's worked for all these years without a single character remodel, or totally overhauled graphics. The graphics have definitely improved, but it still looks relatively dated.

Point is, Tera, Guild Wars 2 and Diablo. 3 will never give me the same feeling as when I first played World of Warcraft, no game has ever had me smiling from ear to ear, or as excited as I was when I got my first epic/legendary item, changing zones was awe inspiring, as I always wondered what X level was like in X Place.

Rift, Lord of the Rings, Age of Conan and other similar games, never ever given me the same sense of wonder. I really have no idea why either! I played plenty of mmorpg's before WoW... What did they do differently?

I can't pinpoint it? Maybe it's their lore?

Anyway, moving on, I've played WoW to absolute death, I'm ready for something new, but nothing is really standing out at me. :-(

What about the secret world, I heard that might be interesting.

What I can't understand is why people think of grinding as such a negative aspect of mmoRPGs. For me the essence of an mmo has always been to grind levels. Maybe it's because I'm from the old school of mmo players. Seems like people basically just want to play a single player action/platform game online now. Not many seem to want to earn levels like before, and make your own goals, craft items, farm reputation...

Grinding is part of mmo's always has been and always should be. I do enjoy a good old grind thumb.gif
Without a grind and alot of dedication you are just basicly playing a normal rpg game like fable, skyrim blah blah blah.

Just play wow then lol.
Sound's like you don't need any recommendations.
