State your budget! (Set an absolute maximum or give a relative maximum with + x amount if it will be amazingly better):
100-200 Canadian/USD
Willing to spend good money on a set that will last and is durable.

State your music tastes:
Electronica 50%, Experimental 10% , Alternative 10%, Hard Rock 30%

Glitch Mob, Pendullum, Audioslave, Marilyn Madison, A Perfect Circle and Mr. Meeble to name a few

State what perks are highly desirable (low impedance, heavy bass, excellent for gaming etc..):

Over Ear - Preferred it be a closed design
Build Quality, build Quality Build Quality
Sound Isolation
Replaceable Audio Cord
Good bass

State what products you already have and are planning on using with your recommended item
Currently have a pair of Sennheiser HD428. Great for 50 bucks, great noise isolation but the cord was absolute trash.
Daily use at computer, on the go and at school

Other Stuff:
Galaxy Nexus
Onboard Soundcards

State how you are going to use the item (e.g. out-and-about, at the gym, at home, PC / console, gaming, music etc). The more detail in this, the better.
Daily Use on computer, at school, on commutes
Heavy use in public in computer labs

State where you live and offer some sites that are known for having good prices / being reputable so we can help recommend you products in your country's currency (like Amazon or ebay).
Canada.
Retail NCIX is 5 minutes away going West or East
Any Canadian or American online (Preferable cheap shipping)

Balancing everything you want, I'd go the V-Moda M-80 (Black) or V-80 (Red). Looks great as well.

I too have the M-80s and they are amazing headphones. They are definitely on par if not better imo than the Sennheiser HD 25-1 II. It really doesnt get any better for the $200 range.
