listen, the only reason that the 2500k is better in games is because the bulldozer isnt used fully when gaming with it. It has less performance per core then the 2500k, but when all the cores are added together, there is way more performance. and it does match up to the 2600k pretty well, if it didnt i wouldnt have gotten the 8120 and would have spent the other $100. point is my 8120 is maxed out in the WEI and its fast as hell. so thats what matters..

WEI is the worst benchmarking tool in the world.

This thread is full of fail. For what the OP was doing he should have just taken his q6600 up to 4.0ghz and rocked the 775 socket for a while longer. AMD needs to face the fact that since the core2duo series was released they have been chasing their own tails and havent even caught a sniff of intels behind. I have had many of each but until AMD steps it up all they will be is the budget processor. Period. My 2 year old I5 still keeps up with a heavily clocked 8120 in all but the most core intensive of tasks. Actually for gaming, general use its a fair bit faster. Dont believe me do some reading. Theres a reason the nickname FAILDOZER stuck. Cause it failed. I really hope AMDs piledriver bring em back into the game I would love to build another AMD system.

WEI is not considered a benchmark score in overclocking community, because it is very flawed. 95% of the game do not use more than 2 core. So most games when on 2500K only uses the first two core. For game developer, utilizing more core = costly development. The movement to quad core is very slow. So don't expect 8 core game anytime soon.

Thats why 2500k is GENERALLY better, why do you need 8 fake cores if you can only use 4?
And no, 8120 isn't on par with 2600k bro, 2600k is a lot better.
Phenom ii x6 is even faster than 8120
WEI? are you kidding me? Noobness at its finest.

Either go for any phenom II X6 or phenom ii x4 960t (and try to unlock it)
