A monitor to do GTX 680 justice

Thread Starter
I am looking for a monitor that will do my GTX 680 justice, any suggestion?

I bought an ASUS VS24 a while ago but the colors were awful even after calibration.

I've been having my eyes on the crossover on ebay, but the quality is making me hesitate, the u2410 is currently 450 / 430 with cash back so that's kind of tempting.

I don't play FPS so I don't really need 120mhz

What do you guys suggest?

Why not this one? Price is nice for this LED back-lit monitor.

That one is in the process of RMA, the black just looks so washed out.

I was using SP2309W for an entire year so moving to the VS24 was a huge shock.

Stop suggesting him crappy TN panels. Something that will really stretch the 680 is 2560x1440 or x1600. Get a U2711 from the Dell Outlet or U3011, ZR27W, ZR30W. These monitors are eyecandy and will get your money's worth on quality and on that 680! thumb.gif

This definiitely. If those are too expensive. look into those Korean knock off IPS monitors (Catleap). There's a huge thread about them here on OCN in the monitors section.

You'll definitely want 2560x1440 or 1600 to really stretch that 680's legs.

I concur. My 1080p monitor can't even make my GTX 680 work. With vsync on, the card is at 50% usage even in BF3.

If you get a GTX 680 I suggest to get a monitor that can do >75 Hz, aka 120Hz monitors. I will never buy a monitor that does not do 120Hz, ever.

I read that 120hz monitors trade speed for color correction, I am more of a color quality guy.
